About me

My name is Natasja Admiraal, an experienced freelance journalist and writer. I work for a variety of clients, both in print and online. I developed a love for writing and language at a young age. As a little girl, I wrote my own stories on an old-fashioned, shiny red typewriter.

During my fashion education at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, I took my first steps in journalism. Fashion, design and art have my special interest. I interview tastemakers from the worlds of fashion, culture and media, create trend articles and write reports with distinctive content.

For my articles, I research developments in my field, identify trends and visit international fairs and exhibitions. My specialty is writing appealing, accurate and easy to read stories.

Books

In November 2021 my first children's book Mode ABC, van All Star tot zonneklep (Fashion ABC, from All Star to sun visor) was published by Waanders Uitgevers, with illustrations by Jelle Post. With this book I introduce children to the development and versatility of fashion in a substantive and playful way. The book contains unique information and anecdotes about more than 250 fashion items and accessories. I previously made a book with Waanders Publishers about the work of designer and artist Claes Iversen.
